Site Specific Animation
This site specific animated projection mapping installation brings to life the vibrant and energetic world of Ansh Kumar through a dynamic and playful visual style. Drawing inspiration from his line art characters, vibrant colours, and iconic imagery from his series “Mind-Blowing”, the animation explores themes of human identity, justice, human connection, and the power of art as a means of expression and social commentary. Expect a kaleidoscopic explosion of colour, where his iconic headless figures play and dream amidst a whirlwind of abstract forms. The video work features figurative in a narrative that celebrates individuality, joy, and the importance of embracing diversity and the colours within. It is a playful take on the world surrounding us with the crazy ones trying to save it, in a loop.
The Installation was part of the India art Fair 2025 parallel Exhibition called Origin Story. The site specific layered video work is a take on the different worlds that exist within this world using the three characters, one being the artist, one being the creator and the ne being a naturalist or the idle one. The rats have the condition for constantly creating and moving in order of an idea of developed life making headlines with war, consumerism and greed- things that the rats create themselves. The ones with an imagination try to play together to save the peace which in symbolic form is the flower. They are somewhat successful but rather fall into ashes eventually with the whole world. While the idle naturalist stays in nature with the joy and innocence of a butterfly trying to make life in what already is.
