Ansh Kumar

biographyyyy

Ansh Kumar, a Delhi/Rishikesh-based artist and architecture graduate, is self-taught in various art forms, including digital art, new media, projection mapping, animation, collage, clay, printmaking, print design, and natural building. His current focus is on creating interactive clay and glass sculptures that blend printmaking, painting, biomaterials, wood, new media, light, and textile.

Inspired by color theory, optical art, light art, motion design, and cognitive psychology, he challenges societal and physical constraints through perspective and celebrates human stories and playfulness.

Ansh and his brother co-founded 'Tiny Farm Lab. They hand-sculpted a mud house in a village near Rishikesh, fostering a community of volunteers and travellers. This experience further inspired Ansh to create more hand-made, experiential art.

In the last three years, Ansh has exhibited his work in over eight countries, including Miami Art Basel, SaLadakh, India Art Fair's Young Collectors Programme, New York (Ars Electronica), Munich, Paris (CADAF), Austria, Goa, Delhi, Toronto, and Tokyo. He has collaborated with renowned companies like Snapchat, Meta, Coca-Cola, Cars24, 20th Century Fox, and Adobe. Additionally, he has received the ArtsHelp Grant for climate-sensitive art and was shortlisted in the top 13 in South Asia for a public installation by the University of Westminster.
